When five foolish sheep cram into one jeep, their high spirits and occasional lack of foresight (like forgetting to steer) combine to make a riotous, if ill-fated, road trip. Plummeting over a hill, tumbling into a mud puddle, yelping for help, these muttonheads just can't get their act together, much to the delight of young readers. Nancy Shaw's Seussian rhymes are guaranteed to tickle every reader's funny bone, while providing a great little learning tool, as well. My son who is a major wheel enthusiest 'reads' this book over and over. He loves to laugh at it as a bedtime story too. Highly recomended awesome artwork and fun verse for adults too. Yes, there is a real muddy jeep in our driveway.

My son and I picked this up at the library and ended up enjoying it enough to get a copy for ourselves along with copies of Sheep in a Shop and Sheep on a Ship. They're short, fun rhyming books with lovely illustrations.
 Great for older toddlers, not babies February 6, 2004
The story and pictures are cute but too subtle for my 15 month old to understand. Better for an older (2+) child.

My husband,son and I love this book. It's colorful illustrations, wonderful rhyme scheme and theme are just great. My son is only one and a half and he get's it. He laughs at all the silly antics of the sheep....I'm hoping to add to his "sheep" collection. A great book for all ages and it's a complete joy to read over and over again.

This book is a scream! The great rhyming cadence is terrific for little ones; my one-year-old son just loves it and giggles whenever we read this to him. And the story is just so silly that you just can't help laughing. It's nice that the author of a kids' book kept the parents in mind!
