Étant un fans fini de Genesis j'étais certain que je n'allais pas être déçu. Je savais pourtant que j'allais revoir plusieurs scènes vidéo d'archive, disponible un peu partout sur Internet. Je comprenais aussi que j'allais faire l'achat de musiques que j'ai dans tous les formats imaginables et inimaginables. Donc, rien de neuf pour moi ! Cependant, à ma très grande surprise, j'ai fait la découverte de quelques démos qui m'ont fait comprendre davantage le cheminement du groupe Genesis et en ce qui me concerne, seulement ça en vallait le prix. Je suis enfin certain que des humains en ont fait parti. Et, croyez-moi, ce n'est rien pour les abaisser. Et, bien sûr, les "remix" sont très intéressant à revisiter. Sans compter que de revoir sur vidéo quelques séquences des belles années de Genesis en compagnie de Peter Gabriel, c'est génial !

Don't wait, this is what most of us have been waiting for. Trespass is the 'bonus' here: Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Nursery Cryme and the awesome bonus disc/DVD. This is some of the most astounding remastering you will ever hear. You can hear the rich layers of everything from Tony Banks' keyboards to Phil Collins' drums and everything in between. Steve Hackett is gloriously represented in this package (check out The Grand Parade... for some of his remastered work) and Peter Gabriel's voice is even richer and in parts more raw than it was in the original recordings.
This completes my collection. If I was never to purchase another CD (which is possible given the price), I would be happy.

If you like early Genesis you must own this set. I'm interested in the CD versions now. The sound is really impressive: detailed, noise-free and with great dynamic range. This shows what can be done with good remastering and remixing faithful to the originals.

Fans of "classic" Genesis will be thrilled to the bone by this just released set. Just one thing, contrary to the Amazon description I do not see any SACD's in this package. Amazon describes it as "SACD/CD hybrid" Beautifully re-engineered stereo CD's, yes. Amazing surround sound DVD (DTS and DD), yes. But for those who are expecting true SACD's, well no. Other than that, this is truly an amazing re-release of some very fine music.

After the 2 previous excellent boxsets covering the later years of Genesis, the 1970-1975 boxset has finally arrived and is the ultimate proof that there is a god! What a magnificient job Rhino has done with the remastering and packaging of these essential albums from Genesis. The sound is majestic and powerful on all albums. It doesn't matter if you listen to the 5.1 Audio dvd or the remastered cd version of any album in this boxset, you'll be knocked off your shoes!
As for the many audio and visual extras, what a treat this is to watch old footages of the Gabriel era that I've previously only had the chance to witness via a concert of the excellent cover band "The Musical Box".
This is an essential period and creative peak in the history of this legendary band and Rhino has given us the chance to enjoy it in all its audio glory.
