Amazon.co.uk Review The big-screen adaptation of Twilight, Stephenie Meyer's bestselling vampire romance, is aimed squarely at its key demographic: teen girls whose idea of Prince Charming is a brooding, pale, undead teen who could kill you instantly at any moment. Such a prince is more fascinating than frightening to new girl Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), who moves to the rainy-gray town of Forks, Wash., to live with her dad (Billy Burke), the local sheriff who's puzzled by a series of "animal attacks." On her first day at school, Bella appears to (visibly) nauseate her lab partner, Edward (Robert Pattinson). Turns out the scent of her blood is this vampire's "brand of heroin," and his struggle not to kill her causes an irresistible pull toward her. Whether he's attracted for the normal reasons or because she smells especially sweet to him is vague in the book and even less clear on-screen; nonetheless, Bella falls hopelessly in love with Edward, which sets her on a dangerous path when a few nomad vampires show up in town, one particularly keen on tracking the human. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen), Twilight is full of funny moments--not all of which are intentional--and the casting, from Stewart to Bella's self-absorbed friend Jessica (Anna Kendrick) is spot-on. The weakest link, unfortunately, is Pattinson. While he certainly looks the part, his Edward could have used an extra injection of testosterone (Pattinson, who is British, used James Dean as a model for his American accent). In scenes where he growls about the temptation to kill those who would harm Bella, or flitting around a forest warning her how dangerous he is, he comes off more like a whimpering puppy than a debonair monster. The good news is, his chemistry with Stewart (particularly in their big kissing scene) is palpable, which, let's face it, is really what matters to Twilight fans most. --Ellen A. Kim

WARNING NO VAMPIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! September 5, 2010 Richard P. James (Leicester, England) Sorry but the film I watched had no vampires in it!!!! There were some sparkly, forest living fairy's but no vampires!!!
Please did you have to insult every vampire legend, book or film ever written?
OK, I know people will be saying that that the stupid Muppet that wrote this was "updating the vampire legend" but I'm sorry it shows a total lack of imagination if you cant think of a way of making vampires go out in the sun!!!!! What next, are they going to write a book about a werewolf that's pink and can fly............ Oh and maybe wears an Orange hat???
The acting was bad, the story was weak apart from about the last 20 mins when there was some action it was totally boring.
If your a pre-teen girl then its probably for you but if your after something with vampires in then look elsewhere.
So Romantic September 4, 2010 Isabelle I am new to all the Twilight Saga, but having loved all three soundtracks I decided to purchase the Blu Ray. I just absolutely love it, and every girl should have an Edward. My favourite part of the film is when Edward takes Bella to the top of the trees and the Bella's Lullaby music is playing.
Also the baseball scene is brilliant with Edward's family.
ideal gift for danghter 14 September 2, 2010 P. B. Allan (Hull UK) Bought for daughter 14 as an addition to he Twilight collection, she already had a single disc dvd. Lots of extra features a 2 disc
TWILIGHT USED DVD September 1, 2010 JULES64 The product was delayed due to a technical problem but when it did arrive it was in excellent condition for the price and the seller did email to explain regarding the delay which was a nice gesture
average! September 1, 2010 Mrs Z M Haines I was expecting big things when I saw this after reading the book first. It started off great, but the acting was a bit wooden, and the scenes kept flicking in places, like when they are laid on the field-it lost you a bit. Overall, it kept to the book pretty well, and overall it was fairly good.
