I've bought plenty of these DVD purly because they are more compatible than the +R version. The quality of the discs is top notch too and I've not had one coaster or had any of them fail to play in any of my hardware/equipment. Granted you can buy other discs cheaper but with the experiences I've had with the discs I won't be changing to another band any time too. The product was very well packaged by Amazon and delivered promptly. These are definately a must buy for anyone who wants a decent quality media at a good price

I read years ago that Verbatim discs were the best and suffered very little from "bad" discs - failure to burn or be read. I switched to another famous brand last year and though they all burnt on my Mac, more than a few had problems being read by my "domestic" dvd player by the TV. I recently switched back and have had NO read problems since. I will not be changing brand again.

Purchased dvd-r discs because in the past all of my recordings were made on this format with no problems. Looked at these Verbatim discs and thought yes these look just the job, but my Panasonic recorder did not want anything to do with them, the discs used before these were Asda's own make which worked great, anyway sent them back to Amazon who as usual swiftly gave me a full refund, this as to be one of the best companies around. May I say in defence of the discs they did not work for me but whose to say this is norm. Jeff.
