Excellent product for the price
Easy to use and precision and even cut
Much better than previous makes I've tried
Neat touches like the barber's cape (a bit flimsy!)
I doubt it would be worth going for the more expensive set unlessyou are a serious hairdresser

My old Wahl clippers are 15 years old now and they have never missed a beat, being used once a week. I thought I would get a new sharper set. These looked like a good price and they do look the part. However when I tried to cut my already short hair the motor noise dropped significantly and they slowed to a snails pace. They were useless so sent them back using the excellent returns service, which I haven't used before but would give 5 stars!
The reviews on here are very mixed, some say they are fine some, like me say they are powerless, so I don't know if there is good and bad or just different thickness hair!!!

Solid and powerful and heavy feel machine but 90% of the stuff it comes with is totally useless. The actual cutter is made in USA but all the rest is pure china plastic. The case is flimsy and the dvd is in the Benny Hill style. I just wish these companies put more emphasis on product rather than gadgets because the machine its self is good but the rest is junk (except for the necessary distancing pieces to trim hair to right lenght).

This is my second purchase of a Wahl hair clipper.excellent value,and they last for years.
my original Wahl had lasted me 10 years,before dropping it on the marble floor.
would recommend Wahl to all my friends & family.

I set out to buy some new fangled clippers (as advertised on TV) but having read the reviews on Amazon, switched to this product. The reviews for this WAHL were 90% good and I only found two that felt the product was poor. My feelings and experience was very satisfactory. The clippers come in a good case and included a lot of cutting guides + lots of extras. My lovely wife cut my hair with ease - in fact I could hardley feel the cut. I have used cheaper clippers in the past and the motor or sharpness let them down over a period of time but even the initial cut was not as good as these Wahls. I am therefore hopeful that these clippers will last for a longer time. I have given this a five star because the product works, it comes with lots of extras (including three combs) and the price was very good.
