The installation on my laptop running Windows 7 went without a hitch but I did have a problem on my desk top pc running Vista, there was a problem with microsoft visual C++ but after googleing I found the solution from AVG and am very pleased with the product. My isp is O2 and I get mcafee free which sounds good but is so troublesome I prefer to pay for a decent security product. I have used the free AVG in the past and this offers much more, it also updates every few hours as well as when you start up. My computers are starting quicker as the program does not seem to hog resources, and at the price from Amazon, 3 users for 2 years it is excellent value and I would recomend this product.
 Genuine copy not fully working September 1, 2010

After useing a pirate copy I thought I would buy a genuine one ,but I had a lot of trouble on the instalation.Getting the copy registered was difficult for me it was 4 weeks and quite a few e mails.The company are so suspicious if you do not buy online direct from them.It is built to stop working after 4 weeks unless you register online.

At Amazon's current price, this really is a must-buy. Two years of free updates and a three user license means you won't have to look elsewhere for protection for multiple machines. As for the protection itself, it's an impressive all-round performer that even tops Webroot's anti-spyware abilities, which I thought was fairly unbeatable. As as plus, it's pain-free and speedy to install, unlike many security suites, and compared to the big-priced big names in the market, it's most definitely no resource hog. It runs quietly and unobtrusively in the background, has an excellent pop-up blocker, and I've noticed no impact on general system performance even using it on a rather frail old laptop. Excellent buy, especially at this price.

Once again Amazon delivered this product when they said and as usual well packaged.
The product, AVG internet security 9 is now installed on all three of our computers and so far all is running faultlessly it does not appear to be slowing up the computers and the reassurance of being protected as much as practicable is a bonus.
It just does what you expect of it leaving you to get on with the business of computing.
